Within six weeks of working with one of CEDA’s Business Growth Advisors, three part-time staff had been appointed thanks to connections made via CEDA.
Based in Manawatū, 3D Constructions Services Limited is a family-owned business specialising in home building, concrete and earthwork services. Ben and Nicky were referred to CEDA by Rahui Corbett of Morrison Creed, one of CEDA’s Regional Business Partner service providers.
These trips are focused on students getting a hands-on look at real workplaces, finding out about the different roles and activities that occur there, and engaging with employers directly, to help them decide their future work pathways.
To support its members, NRC is collaborating with Talent Central, to actively assist those people affected within the transport industry throughout New Zealand, to connect with new employment opportunities in the industry, and/or additional training.
NRC provides professional support for those who choose to make a living in the road transport industry. Members include anyone from a single truck or courier van operator, through to large transport operators, transporting everything from fresh fruit to LPG. Having worked with Talent Central previously to engage more people in the transport industry, the collaboration is about supporting affected drivers to get back working again.
